2008 SUMMER SCHEDULE

Friday 23rd - Tuesday 27th details
ROCK ISLAND, DOOR COUNTY Young Adult
"Head north up into Door County on this expedition to not just one, but two islands! That's right, we'll be taking a ferry through Death's Door, huffing it across Washington Island (hitchhiking if need be!...the Islanders are friendly!) and taking yet another ferry to Rock Island! Once we arrive, there's plenty to explore like the old light house on the north shore, old Native American carvings and Nordic architecture. Activities on this expedition include: hiking, water skiing, tubing, beach volleyball and ultimate frisbee!"

Sunday 1st - Tuesday 3rd
NEWPORT STATE PARK, DOOR COUNTY Young Adult
"The best of both worlds! Newport State Park is located on the tip of Door County, WI with access to Lake Michigan and Europe Lake. This expedition will utilize both bodies of water and especially Europe Lake for water skiing and kayaking. We reserved a group site for up to 25 people so sign up fast for this best kept secret of Door County!"
Thursday 12th
STEPPIN' RIGHT EXPEDITION Middle School
Holy Family Parish--Brillion
"Strictly for high energy middle school students! This one day expedition will be stationed at Holy Family Brillion but with a day trip to surrounding rural experiences like a hay ride and local county parks. Meet the CYE Staff, get down-and-dirty out in farm country and learn about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ!"
Friday 13th - Sunday 23rd details
EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS--Young Adult
Quebec City, CANADA
"Are you serious! Yep, we'll be making this amazing 10 day pilgrimage to the Eucharistic Congress with our new CYE bus! This is what pilgrimages were meant to be--tiring, exhilarating and spiritual. We depart on a midnight S.S. Badger Ferry across Lake Michigan and head up over Mackinac Bridge through
Sault Ste. Marie. And that's just the start of the pilgrimage! We stop at the North American Martyrs Shrine, St. Joseph's HUGE Basilica and Catherine Doherty's Madonna House. We end up...hopefully in Quebec City (celebrating it's 400 year anniversary) at a campsite 20 minutes from downtown. Taking a morning shuttle service into the city, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Eucharist and meet young people from all over the world! This pilgrimage is not for the faint of heart nor for cafeteria Catholics, but for high octane-high energy committed Catholic Christians!"
Sunday 29th - July 2nd
KANGAROO LAKE--High School
Door County, WI
"Ya! Visit Door County's inland sand lake at St. Joe's Retreat Center! First time here too! Setting up our tents we'll soon discover that Kangaroo Lake is warm, sandy and ready to be cut up with skiing, boarding and tubing! Sit around a mid-summer night campfire surrounded by friends in faith. Day trips to other Door County spots a definite must do--like Clark's Lake, Europe Lake and the old Drive-In movie theatre in Fish Creek!"

Thursday 10th 6-9pm
FESTIVAL OF PRAISE All are welcome!!!
St. Pius X Parish
"...Come to me, all who are weary and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). An evening of Adoration and Prayer with live Praise & Worship music. Enjoy a power drama and be inspired by Witnesses of Hope. I can smell the incense already! All are invited to come and pray it up at St. Pius X Parish!"
Saturday 12th - Tuesday 15th
SYLVANIA NATIONAL FOREST Young Adult
Michigan's Upper Peninsula
"Headin' north for a true canoeing & kayaking expedition! Sylvania National Forest is often referred to as a "mini-Boundary Waters" but with 300 sq. miles of lakes and portaging trails I wouldn't really call it mini! We'll be floating our way to a stronger faith and learn a lot from our guide...like how to swamp a canoe and how to make pancakes on a stick!"
Sunday 27th - Wednesday 30th
NATURE'S EDGE High School
"Located only 40 miles from the Fox Valley, we'll be hitting the trails and the water not far from our home base! We'll be on edge with water skiing, wake boarding, ropes course, ultimate frisbee, some Bongo water olympics and some good old fellowship around the campfire in the evening!"

Saturday 2nd - Tuesday 5th
PICTURED ROCK NATIONAL LAKESHORE Young Adult
Michigan's Upper Peninsula
"We'll be HIKING a beautiful trail along elevated cliffs coming right Lake Superior! Miday we'll stop on a pristine sand beach and cool off in crystal clear water. After a long days journey, we'll set up our tents and make s'mores. And when that's all done, we'll sing some songs and play "gunk" until we're just plain tuckered out! This expedition is for those looking to make a real hike through the UP's most beautiful National Park!"
Sunday 10th - Wednesday 13th
