FALL EXPEDITIONS

Life & Vocation of Priesthood October 16-17

The vocation of priesthood is a powerful calling from God. “Man most fully discovers himself only through a sincere gift of himself.” (Gaudium et Spes) Come on up to Saint Josephs Formation Center this fall to learn more about this amazing vocation with the Catholic Church. In today's culture there are many misconceptions as to to the identity of priesthood, but by following sacred scriptures and the teachings of the Church, we hope to help straighten those conceptions out! In addition, we will be utilizing the beauty of Door County during the fall season with hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and more! Whether you are a young man simply interested in learning more about the priesthood or discerning the call to priesthood, this expedition is for you!

Life and Vocation of Women October 23-24

The vocation distinctive to women is a beautiful call from God. “The faithful are called to turn their eyes to Mary—shining example of every virtue—and imitate her as the first disciple. By becoming her children, we learn the true meaning of life in Christ.” (Eucharistic Adoration for the Sanctification of Priests & Spiritual Maternity) Women have a distinctive and crucial role in the Church, however, through a distortion of authentic femininity, this role has been misconstrued. By following the life of the Blessed Mother and concentrating on Eucharistic devotion, this expedition will help unravel the mysterious beauty of the feminine heart. Of course, we will be utilizing the beauty of Door County during the fall season with hiking, kayaking, mountain biking and more! Whether you are a young woman interested in the maternal love of motherhood spiritually or biologically, this expedition is for you!

Life and Vocation of Marriage October 30-31

The bedrock of a society rests in the strength of Christian marriages. In the hectic lives of married couples or newly engaged couples, there can be little time set aside to strengthen their relationship with one another and with God. This weekend expedition is meant to allow you to pray together, find some quiet together and meet other couples who are fired up about their faith. You'll have a chance to enjoy beautiful Door County along with Eucharistic adoration, Liturgy of the Hours, Mass, and Confessions. So hire that baby sitter, carve out some time in that marriage preparation schedule and make this expedition! You won't regret it!
